Outpatients
Our team will make the submission to Medicare at the time of billing, on your behalf. Private health funds do not provide any cover for outpatient medical imaging services. At the time of making your appointment, a team member will provide you with the total cost of your examination and the amount that you can expect to receive back from Medicare. For most services there will be an out-of-pocket expense.
Payment for services is required at the completion of your examination. For all Medicare eligible examinations, we will submit your Medicare claim for you, at the time of payment.
Please note: Private Health Funds do not pay any money towards outpatient medical imaging services.
Inpatients
In most cases a claim to Medicare and your health fund will be processed by our team. Medicare and your private health fund will send you cheques for any applicable rebates. We request that you forward these cheques and any out-of- pocket expenses to our team. Worker’s Compensation.
There are no Medicare or Health Fund rebates for Workers’ Compensation cases. An account will be issued to the insurer or employer accepting liability for payment of your examination. Workers Compensation approval is required prior to commencing the test. You will be responsible for full payment if Workers’ Compensation approval has not been granted.
